Santa Cruz County Behavioral Health offers a range of crisis services for children, youth, and adults experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Services are available by phone, in person, or in the community--many are available 24/7.
Services include:
- 24/7 crisis support for all Santa Cruz County residents, regardless of ability to pay
- Crisis stabilization services with short-term (up to 24-hour) care in a safe, secure setting
- Walk-in crisis services for assessment, support, and referrals during weekday hours
- Mobile crisis teams that respond in the field to support people where they are
- Mental health clinicians who work with local law enforcement to respond to emergencies
- Inpatient psychiatric care for adults needing intensive, 24-hour treatment
- Specialized crisis services for youth in foster care
Cost/Insurance:
Services are available to people with Medi-Cal, private insurance, or no insurance, depending on the program. Access may be through phone, walk-in visits, referral, or emergency services (911).
