What is SNAP-Ed?

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Education program is funded by the USDA though the California Department of Public Health’s Nutrition Education Obesity Prevention Branch (NEOPB).

Their program Champions for Change includes a state-wide movement of local, state and national partners collectively working toward improving the health status of low-income Californians through increased fruit and vegetable consumption and daily physical activity. The main audience for the SNAP Ed program is individuals and families who are on CalFresh or are eligible for CalFresh.
