The "TB Warm Line" is a telephone consultation service for physicians and other health care providers who have questions about medical management of patients with (or at risk for) tuberculosis. Call the Tuberculosis "Warmline" any weekday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The receptionist will obtain some basic information about the inquiry, then forward the information to the consultant on call. Within one working day, the caller will receive a telephone response from the consultant.This service has been designed for providers in Northern California, but calls from all areas are welcome.There is no cost for this service. Funds to support this effort are from a grant from the Division of Tuberculosis Elimination, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.Call (415) 502-4700. Be prepared to provide basic information about the patient, and to suggest times that may be best to reach you in the next 24 hours.
