REMINDER: Prepare Written Report Within 36 hours of the telephone call.

CONFIDENTIALITY: The identity of all persons who report under this article shall be kept confidential. Violation of the confidentiality shall be punishable by jail and/or fine.

IMMUNITY: Any legally mandated reporter has immunity when making a report. No individual can be dismissed, disciplined or harassed for making a report of suspected child abuse, UNLESS THE INDIVIDUAL KNOWINGLY MAKES A FALSE REPORT.

LIABILITY: Legally mandated reporters can be criminally liable for failing to report suspect child abuse. Mandated reporters can be civilly liable for failing to report and be investigated by their licensing agency.
