This is a school based program providing classroom presentations about reproductive health, individualized counseling, and referrals to various youth oriented services within the community. These services are provided through the Male Involvement Program (MIP).

  • What is the Male Involvement Program (MIP)?

    • MIP is a Watsonville-based pregnancy prevention program designed to reach males age 13-18 who are high-risk for becoming teen fathers.

    • The program provides individual counseling and risk assessment, multi-session health education classes and advocacy for teens to receive free clinical services, as needed.

    • MIP is a community collaboration with Pajaro Valley Prevention and Student Assistance (PVPSA) program and is paid for by a grant from the Office of Family Planning, State of California.

  • How much does birth control cost for teens?

    • Free and confidential reproductive health services are provided to teens 13 and older.

  • Where can I get free condoms?

    • Santa Cruz County Health Services provides free condoms to family planning clients in north and south county clinics. Other locations are: Planned Parenthood in Watsonville and Santa Cruz, Front Street Drop-In Center, and the Women's Health Center.
