• What is the Male Involvement (MI) component of THO?

  • MI is a Watsonville-based pregnancy prevention program designed to reach males age 13-18 who are high-risk for becoming teen fathers. This program also works to address absentee fatherhood and supports men to be involved in their children's lives.

  • The program also provides individual counseling and risk assessment, multi-session health education classes and advocacy for teens to receive free clinical services, as needed.
    
    

• How much does birth control cost for teens?

  • Free and confidential reproductive health services are provided to teens 12 and older.

  • Most teens utilize confidential services through benefit programs such as FAMPACT and Medi-Cal.
    
    

• Where can I get free condoms?

  • Santa Cruz County Health Services provides free condoms to family planning clients in north and south county clinics. Other locations are: Planned Parenthood in Watsonville and Santa Cruz, Women's Health Center and Santa Cruz AIDS Project (SCAP) in Santa Cruz.
    

• What services are provided for girls?

  • THO provides comprehensive sex education and referrals to teen girls in mid and south county schools.
